Concert raises £1,100 for Children’s Hospice Southwest

Marldon Community Choir raised £1,100 for Children’s Hospice Southwest.
The money was raised at the Sound of Summer concert held by the choir at the Livermead House Hotel in June.
All the proceeds were raised solely by the concert in which all the profits raised were donated to the charity.
The show was directed by Kathy Snow and accompanied by Wyn Turner.
It was compered by Phil Burford and guest appearances were made by Lewis Cudmore and the Devon Close Harmony Quartet

Marldon Community Choir is celebrating its second year by hosting a concert on Saturday 2nd July at the Livermead House Hotel in Torquay at 7.30pm.

The choir have gone from strength to strength since forming in 2014 and are keen to showcase their musical talents. Musical director Kathy Snow said “I’m very proud of these wonderful people and the beautiful sound they make”.

Carlo Bragagnolo, the choirs chairman added, “This will be the inaugural concert hosted by the Choir and hopefully the first of many.  The Choir have worked incredibly hard over the last year to produce the evening’s entertainment.    We very much hope you can come along to enjoy this musical event and the efforts of all our members and help make this a memorable evening.”

The choir will perform an evening of popular songs from the big screen and will be joined by special guests DCHQ and rising local star Lewis Cudmore.
