Charity Concert raises funds for Rowcroft

Marldon Community Choir is delighted to be presenting a cheque for £1200 to Rowcroft Hospice.

This money was raised at the Choir’s ‘Sounds of Summer 2017’ concert held at St John’s Church, Totnes in July. The concert was directed by Kathy Snow and accompanied by Wyn Turner on the piano. It was compered by Phil Burford and guest appearances were made by Lewis Cudmore, who is currently studying at Laine Theatre Arts, and the barbershop group, ‘Voicemale’. The evening was a great success and greatly enjoyed by both performers and audience.

Marldon Community Choir was formed in 2014 and currently has a membership of around 50 people from the local community who enjoy singing and making music together. Further events are planned for the coming year and more information about these and about joining the Choir can be found here on the website

Photo-shoot!

In an effort to get a few images for the website we held a photo-shoot the other night. Carlo brought his camera and we all fell under the gaze of the paparazzi lens! At least we all know what it would be like now if we became famous. Now did he get my best side?!
